General Links :
Star maps and suchlike :
Starchart map server - Absolutely the GREATEST site. You can get postscript files of all constellation maps. Better still, you can input the coordinate range of your interest, your place, time and date and it will make you a star map of a limiting magnitude of your choice. Current News and Events - A page in the Sky Pub. homepage. This Week's Sky at a glance - Again in the Sky Pub. homepage. Space Calendar - It is a calendar maintained by JPL, NASA which lists all events happening in the sky for each day. A large fraction of it has to do with artificial satellites but that can't be avoided. Whats up - Has information on what is up in the sky for a given time and place with maps provided alongwith. Starchart links - links to other online starcharts in the Sky Pub. homepage.
Deep Sky Objects :
The Messier Album - the most comprehensive information about every Messier object. The NGCIC project - the page for the NGCIC project (NGC and IC are the two largest catalogues of deep sky objects which are useful to amateurs as well). The NGC page - The NGC page at SEDS. Has a huge amount of links to other pages on NGC objects.
