of Aerospace Engineering invites you to submit your quotations for a
high performance computing (HPC) cluster satisfying the technical specifications
detailed in Annexure A. The quotation
should be submitted in two bid systems - The Technical bid and the
commercial bid / financial bid. The technical bid must include
all details of technical specifications of the hardware and software
along with commercial terms and conditions (but should not include the
price component), the bill of materials (which would later become the
shipping documents) printed technical brochure and any other document
provided by the vendor to help the technical evaluation of bids. Technical
bid should also include a compliance certificate indicating the fulfillment
of the technical specifications detailed in Annexure A. The presence
of the vendor is not required for the opening of the bids. Vendors will
be informed of the decision. The two sealed
envelops containing the technical bid and the commercial/financial bid

System Installation and commissioning. Terms &
Conditions: 1. Bidder can quote both in INR & DOLLAR. Quotation in INR is preferable. Taxes, duties, etc to be clearly mentioned. 2. Complete installation and commission of the HPC Cluster Computer system to be done by the bidder. The quotations should be submitted with clear Scope of Work. 3. Bidders should be Reputed OEMS or Authorized Partners. If Bidder is the Authorized Partner/SI; they should submit valid Manufacturer Authorization Letter in their quotation. 4. All hardware and software should be quoted with 3 years warranty. 5. Details of the Power and Cooling requirements for the proposed systems should be submitted. 6. A detailed compliance sheet has to be submitted in accordance with the above specifications. Any deviations has to be highlighted and details to be mentioned. 7. The quotation should also consist of all the necessary datasheets and brochures. 8. Any deviations from the above points the bidder will be disqualified and their bids will not be considered. 9. The quotation should be submitted in two bid system. The technical bid and the commercial bid or price bid. 10. The technical bid must include all details of technical specifications of the equipment along with commercial terms & conditions (But should not include price component), The bill of materials, printed technical brochure and any other document which will help in the technical evaluation of bids. 11. The commercial bid/price bid should indicate the item wise price for the items mentioned in the technical bid. 12. The technical and the commercial bids should be sealed by the bidders in separate covers only super scribing and both these sealed covers are to be put in a bigger cover which should also be sealed and only superscribed. The due date for submission of tenders is 23/02/2012 and the technical bids will be opened on 27/02/2012. The presence of the vendor is not required for the opening of the bids. The quotation in foreign currency should be on CIF/CIP, Bangalore, India and the quotation in Indian rupees should be for IISc.
