Nation First Initiative – A new body of the Students’ Council, Indian Institute of Science intends to work towards the development of the nation by identifying and addressing the pressing issues of national importance – both immediate and long term; and organizing events in this regard, sharing thoughts and ideological beliefs, and suggesting systemic reforms which can be made public or sent to the institute and public authorities for consideration.
The vision of the committee shall remain-
- Identification of issues which represent nationally relevant challenges.
- Finding scientific and rational solutions to these challenges.
- Addressing any contemporary national issues which require immediate attention.
- To instill a sense of national responsibility in the students of the institute
