Students' Council

Amenities committee aims to improve the quality of infrastructure on campus to make life comfortable for students. It works along with the administration in maintaining and monitoring existing facilities, as well as evaluating and introducing new ones. It also serves as a channel of communication between students and institute, as most of the work related to amenities is carried out by administration.

The main activities of the amenities committee are :

1. Maintenance and monitoring existing facilities on campus, like eateries, stores, bicycle shop etc.

2. Evaluation and introduction of new facilities. We are working to improve various aspects of campus infrastructure like parking space, hostel amenities etc.

3. Communication channel for student feedback on issues related to campus amenities. We will present the feedback to administration and ensure a speedy redressal of the issues. We also plan to set up a mechanism for improving the feedback process.

4. Amenities committee tries to provide some of the important things that a student requires during the course of study. Since the last two years, Laptop Drive and Bicycle Drive are being organized for providing laptops and bicycles to students at affordable prices.

Sri Vallabha
Sri Vallabha completed his B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering at IIT Madras in 2007. He worked for two years in business consulting and automotive engineering design before joining IISc for pursuing Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering in 2009. Saurabh Aggarwal
Saurabh Aggarwal completed his B.Tech from Dr. B.R. Ambedkar National Institute of Technology, Jalandhar in 2009. He joined IISc in 2009 for pursuing research in the area of Communication Networks. Channel Assignment, Wireless Mesh Networks are some of his areas of interest. He has actively worked in various activities of Students' Council like 'Bicycle Drive' , ' Help the Needy' . He has also coordinated the activities of amenities committee in 2010-11.
