Alexander Fell (SERC)

Alexander Fell is a PhD student of the SuperComputer Research Center (SERC) since January 2009. He is an active volunteer for various SC activities like the Help the Needy program and the Welcome of the new students.

In his spare time he is usually found playing basketball or volleyball. If not in the institute he is most likely on a trek or has gone sailing

He is a member of the Council Steering Committee and the coordinator of the Volunteer Committee

Hrushikesh P (CHEMENG)

Hrushikesh is a ME student in the department of Chemical Engineering. His research areas are Molecular Simulations with applications to oil and gas industry. He has been actively involved in Centenary conference management, Voter's registration drive and Help the Needy initiatives. His hobbies are Cricket, music-both classical and western, reading.

He is currently coordinator of Placement Committee, SC 2009-10.

Indumathi Anandraj (MGMT)

Indumathi is a PhD student at the Department of Management Studies. She has a Master Degree in Psychology and has done a short term course in counseling. Area of research interest is Knowledge Management. Has been Support network member in 2007-08. Has actively participated in Session Management during the Centenary Conference. Hobbies include observing the behavior of people, swimming, painting.

She is the coordinator of the Student Support Network

Parag Khairnar (ECE) 

Parag is an Electronics Engineer currently doing the MSc Engg Program at the ECE Department. He is actively involved with the Students Council and has been a part of several initiatives such as the Voter Registration Campaign, IISc Green Gang and he is working for the Help the Needy program and the IISc Bicycle drive. His hobbies include TT, badminton, trekking, swimming, reading and classical music.

He is a member of the Council Steering Committee, the coordinator of the Amenities Committee and a member of the Social Initiatives Committee, SC 2009-10

Rekha Gautam (IPC)

Rekha Gautam is a Ph.D student in the department of Inorganic and Physical Chemistry. She was an active lady member of the Gymkhana managing Committee. She was the convener of throwball and a hostel representative. Her hobbies include throwball and dancing.

She is the coordinator of the Cultural Committee, SC 2009-10

Sanchari Banerjee (MBU)

Sanchari Banerjee is a Ph.D student in the department of Molecular Biophysics. She has been actively involved with the Gymkhana before as a member of its managing committee. She was the co-convener of throwball and a hostel representative. Her hobbies include dancing, poetry, art and throwball.

She is the member of the Council Steering Committee and the coordinator of the Communication Committee, SC 2009-10

Savita Chib (MRDG)

Savita holds a Masters in Biotechnology and is a PhD student at the department of Molecular Reproduction and Development Genetics. Her research interest is Gene Expression in Bacteria. She has actively volunteered for Session Management during the Centenary Conference. 

In her spare time she is usually found with a book or on a walk.

She is the coordinator of the Social Initiatives Committee and a member of the Student Support Network

Shyam S (MGMT)

Shyam is a PhD student student at Management studies since January 2007. He is actively involved with Voices, the student's newsletter.

Journalism excites him.
He is a member of the Council Steering Committee, coordinator of the Academics Committee and member of the Communications Committee

Sridhar P (ISU)

Sridhar is a native Bangalorean, an Electrical and Electronics Engineer, doing the MSc Engg program in the Department of Instrumentation. His Research interests include Electromagnetics, electrodynamics and bit of robotics. He is concerned about the issues in the society, and thinks on how he can contribute for that. He is actively involved with the SC and has been a volunteer for the institute activities such S&T Run, Centenary conference etc and is a part of initiatives such as Note Book Drive, Mission Education, IISc Bicycle Drive and IISc HAM Radio Club.

His hobbies include playing cricket, volley ball, TT, Lawn Tennis, Badminton, trekking, Photography, Wild life survey,etc. He has a great passion for Music, a great fan of Indian classical, Hariharan, Ilayaraja and A R Rahman.

He is a member of the Social Initiatives Committee, SC 2009-10
