Indian Institute of Science(IISc), Bangalore, a Deemed University of high international repute invites applications for the following posts:

ASSISTANT REGISTRAR: [No. of posts: - 6 ( SC-2, OBC-1, UR-3)] - one of the six posts is reserved for Physically Handicapped (Locomotor disability).

Upper age limit: 40 years, relaxable in exceptional cases at the discretion of the competent authority

Scale of pay: Rs.8000-275-13500 (TE: Rs.22000) (under revision)

Essential Qualification/ experience: A Master's degree with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade and 5 years of Supervisory experience OR A Bachelor's degree with 8 years of Supervisory experience. At least 5 years of the experience should be in a Government/Semi-Government/Public Sector/Autonomous Organization /Educational Institution of higher learning or in a Commercial Organization of national standing, in the scale of Rs.2000-3500 (Pre-revised) / Rs.6500-10500 (Revised) or equivalent or above. He/She should have a sound knowledge of the Rules of the Government .of India relevant to an academic institution.

Desirable Qualification/experience:

Common to all posts: Post Graduate Degree/Diploma in the relevant field and/or in Management. Knowledge of computers - operating system, software packages like MS Office, FoxPro, etc.

Code ET - Establishment: Experience in students' hostel administration, establishment, reservation and rosters, security, legal and vigilance matters etc.

Code MM - Materials Management: Experience in handling local and foreign purchases, customs clearance procedures, claims etc. with various tax authorities etc.

Code FM - Finance & Accounts: Experience in handling accrual system of accounting, computerized accounting systems, Audit functions etc.

Code PR - Public Relations: Experience in organizing conferences, seminar, symposia, in-house publications etc., meeting of foreign and Indian dignitaries, experience with media.
