INVITES APPLICATIONS FOR A POST-DOCTORAL FELLOW (2 years) OR STUDENT FELLOWSHIP (3 years)  IN A INDO-FRENCH  collaborative project ‘Control of p53 mRNA translation’  in PARIS, FRANCE.

 

The project is in joint collaboration between the team of Dr Robin Fahraeus at INSERM 716, Hospital St Louis, Paris and the team of Dr.Saumitra Das, Department of Microbiology and Cell Biology, Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore.

 

The Post-Doc position is restricted to Indian citizens with Ph. D. degree. The Student Fellowship is also restricted to Indian citizens with M. Sc. degree. Some background in molecular biology and/or mRNA translation research is desirable but strong motivation is a requirement. The members of the laboratory speak English and knowledge in French is not a requirement.

 

The salary for the Post-doctoral fellow will be 1850 euro p/m and for the Studentship 1300 euro p/m. The successful candidate will join a team of young scientists working in a rapidly expanding research area covering the role of mRNA translation in controlling the expression and activity of the p53 tumor suppressor. A successful Post-Doc candidate would be expected to have expertise in the field of mRNA translation control and/or signal transduction.
